Telehealth – Enforcing Social Isolation
On 19 March 2020, ALL consultations will be done via phone or telehealth (Doxy.me) to comply with the social isolation strategy currently recommended by the BC Government. In the event that a physical examination is required, as deemed necessary by our physician, our team will make the necessary arrangements to examine you in our office.
We request that those suspected of having COVID-19 continue to contact us through Borland Connect or by phone to avoid spread within our community. If you think you have COVID-19, please do the self assessment score found here.
What symptoms should I be concerned about? Fever, new cough and difficulty breathing. If you have difficulty breathing, proceed to the ER and follow the instructions.
We have enabled a Virtual Platform for all consultations (walk-in and bookings) that is available by requesting an appointment through our portal, Borland Connect. There is no additional cost to patients and slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The paywall was removed at 17:00 on 18 March 2020.
Unfortunately, we anticipate that COVID-19 will soon be spread within communities in BC and the best way to prevent spread is social isolation. We will be calling patients to schedule telephone visits to ensure that we control the disease to the best of our abilities. Feel free to contact us through the Borland Connect platform. We will usually respond within 24 hours.
